The Advisory Board adjunct to the RA Minister of Diaspora held its first session of the year on January 27. The session was headed by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.
The agenda included the issue of approving the RA Government’s draft resolutions on the working plan of the RA Ministry of Diaspora for 2012, the plan and list of events of the “Ari Tun” program for the cognitive visits of Diaspora Armenian youth to Armenia in 2012, the program and list of events for the 2012 “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Cultural Festival, as well as the report on the activities of the Ministry’s legal division and current issues.
Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Firdus Zakaryan presented the working plan of the Ministry for 2012 and particularly addressed the events and initiatives to be held within the framework of the “Ari Tun” program, the “Our Greats” program devoted to notable Diaspora Armenian individuals, the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Cultural Festival, the Pan-Armenian Awards “For notable contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity” and other programs and their itineraries.
Head of the Department of All-Armenian Programs at the RA Ministry of Diaspora Atom Mkhitaryan presented the draft resolutions of the RA Government on confirming the program and list of events for the 2012 “Ari Tun” program for cognitive visits of Diaspora Armenian youth to Armenia and on confirming the program and list of events for the 2012 “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Cultural Festival. Mkhitaryan discussed the goals, objectives, the actions for project implementation and the expected results of each program.
Head of the Legal Division of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Luisa Tsaturyan delivered a report on the activities in 2011 and presented the number of draft legal acts that the RA Ministry of Diaspora developed and presented to the RA National Assembly and the RA Government in 2011, the additions to and amendments in several laws, the agreements signed by the Ministry, the references sent by departments and other government agencies, as well as citizens’ appeals.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan presented the upcoming programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and congratulated the gathered on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian Army.
