Anti-Russian rallies meet Lavrov in Japan.

 During Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s official trip to Japan anti-Russian rallies were held in front of Japan’s Foreign Ministry building, “Interfax” news agency reported.

The participants of the rally demanded from Russia to return Kuril Islands. Further information about the number of rally participants is not reported.

The foreign ministers of Japan and Russia agreed Saturday to strengthen economic and security cooperation but made no progress on resolving a long-standing territorial dispute over islands off northeastern Japan.
