Levon Shirinyan says if he were elected president, the first thing he would do would be to resettle the liberated territories.
"The more territories that are resettled, the stronger the country will be. Bring the people together. How much longer can they remain scattered across the globe?" Levon Shirinyan mentioned during a press conference today.
Until that happens, he is compelled to register the flaws of the current authorities in this regard.
Shirinyan also touched upon the restriction of Turkey's law "On Immigration", even though he doesn't treat Turkey's declarations seriously.
According to him, the President of Armenia should be concerned about the nearly 70,000 illegal Armenians in Turkey.
Shirinyan is certain that there will soon be a new sweep in the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and that Germany and several other countries will follow France's example. The political scientist understands Germany's silence because the country is linked to the Holocaust.
As far as Armenia's interior political situation is concerned, Shirinyan says holding free, fair and transparent parliamentary elections will provide a brilliant opportunity to fix the situation in the country.
Levon Shirinyan suggests setting new standards for the parliamentary candidates.
"They should throw their children in the army, just like they throw themselves in parliament. There should be a standard. We should elect the deputies whose children are serving in the army," said Shirinyan in closing.
