Tunisia extends state of emergency

The Tunisian authorities intend to maintain the state of emergency in the country announced Defense Minister Rashid Sabbah.
According to him such a decision is being dictated by the security situation in the country.
The state of emergency was introduced in Tunisia after the revolution of January 14, 2011, which led to the overthrow of the regime of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, and since then has been regularly extended.
The next term will expire on June 3.
Despite the increased security measures, on Sunday supporters of the ultraconservative Muslim group "Supporters of Sharia" rioted in a suburb of the Tunisian capital leading to one person being killed and many more injured.
