Authorities of Armenia visited Yerablur pantheon.

On the occasion of 20th anniversary of the Armed Forces of Armenia authorities of the republic paid a tribute of honor in Yerablur Military Pantheon.
President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan, NKR President Bako Sahakyan and the highest officer staff of the army put flowers at the tombs of former PM of Armenia Vazgen Sargsyan, national hero Andranik Ozanyan and a wreath - to the memorial of the freedom fighters killed during the Artsakh war.
"It is thanks to the potential of Armenian people that we have managed to have such a consolidated army in a short period of time, the main task of which is to defend the security of the borders of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic," Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan said in a briefing with journalists.The main peculiarity of the army is that it has been formed during a war period. The Defense Minister also highlighted the latest round of formation of the Armed Forces of Armenia, when as a result of reforms it was introduced to Armenian people and international community as a structure, which has chosen the path of development.
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of RA, Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov also answered to the journalists questions.
“We have changed, now we are a strong Army. I am happy that we have what we have today and we have gained it during the passed 20 years”.
Speaking about the Army achievements Y. Khachaturov spoke about the officers. “Of course there are omissions but we try to settle them. We do everything to punish those who is blamed for the accidents.” Speaking about the future projects he noted that cooperation both with NATO and CSTO will be continued further as well.
