RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan eeceives the Parliamentary Delegation of France

On May 29 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of France, which is comprised of the NA deputy François Rochebloine, senators Henri de Raincourt Bernard Saugey.

Highly assessing the current level of the Romanian-French multilateral relations, Mr Abrahamyan has noted that the dialogue of high ranking officials, the efficient cooperation established at inter-parliamentary level, the cooperation in the spheres of culture, education, science and other spheres are relations characteristic between Armenia and France. The NA President deemed important the further development of the inter-parliamentary relations, the cooperation in the international structures, documenting with satisfaction the close cooperation established between the parliaments, which would have an important role in inner-state relations. Hovik Abrahamyan deemed important the French parliamentarians’ visit to the NKR.

The NA deputy of France François Rochebloine expressed his gratitude for inviting them and noted that after every visit they see big positive changes in Armenia. He deemed necessary the further activation of the Armenian-French cooperation, highlighting the further development of inter-parliamentary relations and the deepening of cooperation in the international organizations. The members of the Delegation said that they were very impressed by their visit to the NKR and they had recorded progress in all institutes of the country and in different sectors of the economy. They deemed important the re-operation of Stepanakert Aiport. Hovik Abrahamyan also considered necessary the operation of the airport and considered not understandable why the flights of the civil planes were prohibited, as they were going to be of humanitarian nature.

The NA President has noted that the European integration is one of the main directions of the foreign policy of our country Armenia; the RA sees itself in that family and highlights the close cooperation with European structures.

In the meeting the sides touched upon the regional problems, emphasized the peaceful settlement of the NK problem within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
