Eleven thousand false pensioners discovered - Labor and Social Affairs Minister.

As a result of "cleaning" in the pensions system of the republic names of 11 thousand people have been withdrawn from the lists who for years received pensions, Labor and Social Affairs Minister Arthur Grigoryan told a news conference January 31. "As a result of investment of the electronic pensions system and unified database the number of pensioners reduced from 520 thousand to 509 000. The system allows exclusion of dead people and those who are not in the republic. Everyday information will be provided about the death or departure of pensioners. The applied computer program will withdraw these people from the lists and no payment will be made from the next month," the minister said.

Arthur Grigoryan noted that the program excludes the interference of an official in the united database of pensioners for making any changes.

Referring to the issue of 11 thousand false pensioners, the minister said a criminal case has been evoked, investigation is underway. He said the information about the amount of damage to the state and the people engaged in the criminal case will be reported later after the activity of law enforcers.

This year Labor and Social Affairs Ministry will continue the reforms in the pensions sphere. Arthur Grigoryan said last year the grounds of assembling pension have been put, in 2012 the works on applying infrastructures of the system will be carried out.
