RA NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan rejected the journalists` request-demand.

Today a group of journalists met with RA NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan. The latter did not satisfy the journalists request-demand on annulling the dismissal of the NA Public Relations Department's so far former head Gohar Poghosyan and returning her to her previous post or at least appointing her as deputy chief of the same department.

To recall, the position of the deputy head of the same department was left vacant after Gohar Poghosyan was appointed as chief of the same department.

To note, Samvel Nikoyan dismissed Gohar Poghosyan from her duties on January 30.

Nikoyan informed the journalists that Poghosyan had submitted false medical documents. So, the NA Speaker, based on the law of state employee, cannot conceal this fraud.

As a response the journalists proclaimed that every time when NA MPs are absent from the sessions they present false medical documents which receive no attention from the NA Chairman. Nikoyan answered that the MPs' behavior is regulated by the RA Constitution, but in this case we deal with the law of state employee, which ensures high guarantees of discipline.

However, Nikoyan promised the journalists to meet with Gohar Poghosyan in 1-2 months and discuss her future presentation in the NA but not for the post of deputy or the head of the department.

By the way, today 5 more journalists joined the signature gathering action in support of Gohar Poghosyan bringing its number to 70.
