"Hayazn" Union urges involving candidates from Artsakh on party lists.

"Hayazn" Union suggests the parties running in the 2012 parliamentary elections to involve candidates from Artsakh on their party lists.

"We believe that pro-government parties will be the first to set a sample to others by involving candidates from the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on their party lists," the Union said proposing bringing forth the issue for public discussion.

The Union accounts its decision for the December 1, 1989, decision whereby Artsakh joined the Armenian SSR. The Supreme Council, which proclaimed the independence of Armenia, comprised deputies from Artsakh who became the first and last NKR parliamentarians in the Armenian legislative body.

The decision adopted on December 1, 1989 has not been declared invalid.
