Armenia to open consulate general in the Ukrainian town of Odessa.

The Armenian government during today`s session approved the bill to open Armenian consulate in Odesa, Ukraine.
Nearly 400,000 Armenians live in Ukraine. The state budget will annually allocate 7 million 904 thousand AMD for the consulate general. Vacancy of one diplomat with a family of three members is intended.
"The establishment of consulate general in Odessa will make the work in the territory of Ukraine more effective, will ensure presence of Armenia in the south-eastern regions of Ukraine which will contribute to the development of bilateral relations and reinforcement of trade-economic and humanitarian ties," the grounding presented by the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Armenia presented to the government says.
