Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan held a meeting on Friday with Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili.

Mr Margaryan made a high appraisal of Armenian-Georgian relations. He stressed that centuries-old friendship and traditions serve as a basis for developing partnership between the two states’ cities.

Mayor Margaryan presented the priorities of Yerevan city’s development. He stressed that Yerevan and Tbilisi have ample opportunities for development cultural and educational cooperation, as well as cooperation in tourism and other areas.

Ambassador Sharmanashvili assured the Yerevan mayor of his readiness to assist the implementation of joint programs and business projects.
