The Court of Appeals of Armenia on Friday refused to hear the appeal of convicted pedophile Serop Der-Boghossian, finding it ungrounded.
The sitting lasted two hours.
Der-Boghossian was taken to court from Mikaelian Surgical Institute.
According to the businessman’s lawyer Givi Hovhannisyan, they are going to apply to the Court of Appeals.
The American-Armenian businessman Serop Der-Boghossian, president and owner of Metal Prince Company and Akhtala Ore Processing Combine, was convicted of the charges late last year.
In November 2011 he was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment after he was found guilty of having sex with minors against their will. His defense lawyers appealed the verdict in a higher court.
