ANC postpones its sitting.

The Political Council of the Armenian National Congress today postponed its recurrent session on demand of its member parties.

"Representatives of the 18 political parties that make up the opposition bloc have asked for time to clarify some issues connected with the joint proportional list. They are going to present their positions on the proportional list after a thorough discussion," ANC Coordinator Levon Zurabyan told the reporters.

Asked whether these parties might run in the elections separately, Mr Zurabyan said, "Why should they? The idea has not occurred to us and we see no prerequisites for it."
