French President again calls upon Turkey to face its past.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy attended a banquet, organized by the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF), during which he once again called upon Turkey to confront its history.

Sarkozy noted that France had collaborated with the Nazis in World War II, but it later faced that period in history. “Confronting history will be a source of pride for Turkey as well,” the French President said, NTV News Agency of Turkey informs.
