Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel bathroom from a possible drowning, law enforcements have revealed.
The iconic songstress' body was discovered in a fourth floor room of the Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday afternoon, and TMZ reports that prescripton drugs were also found.

No illegal drugs have been found in the hotel room where Whitney Houston died — at least not yet — but prescription drugs were present, and it’s possible the singer drowned in the bathtub.

Sources have told the website that when the paramedics arrived, her body was already removed from the bathtub, so it will take an autopsy to determine the cause of death, although it is claimed drowning is a possibility.
The singer was due to attend her mentor Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy Award party in the same hotel, and guests arrived downstairs while her body was still in the hotel room.
Several celebrities have paid tribute to the legend, including friend Mariah Carey, P. Diddy and Russell Simmons.
