Relations among parties in elections must be competitive, not hostile - Mkrtich Minasyan.

In villages people elect those whom they know and there is no difference whether they are from RPA, PAP or other party, MP from the Republican Party of Armenia Mkrtich Minasyan told the reporters Tuesday. "We are not seeking to present member of our party everywhere. If the winner in 80% of cases is from the RPA, it shows that our party has many representatives who are accepted in their communities," the MP said.
He said all the trusted figures of Sasun Mikayelyan were in Hrazdan, they know the law very well. Minasyan said the relations among the parties in the elections must be competitive and not hostile.
The MP said he is not against passing to 100% proportional election system. "I am the one of the few MPs who was elected both through proportional and majority systems. Those who were elected through majority system are well aware of the issues existing in the field," Minasyan said. He also noted that the National Assembly is not only legislative body but a representative body, thus it is wrong to think that their activity is limited only speaking from NA's chair, they must work with people too.
