Conduction of fair elections has nothing to do with election system - RPA member Hovhannes Sahakyan.

Member of the Heritage faction Larisa Alaverdyan said the statements that their party will not enter the future parliament are from the genre of fantasy. Speaking to reporters today Alaverdyan refused to comment on these viewpoints.

Conduction of parliamentary hearings over the proportional and majority systems, Alaverdyan described it as a political mistake. Member of the RPA Hovhannes Sahakyan said during the hearings the issue which system is the most effective one has not been specified. Sahakyan said the conduction of fair elections has nothing to do with the system of elections. The important thing is formation of election culture.

The RPA member noted that the authorities have political will for the fair and transparent conduction of elections. The best testimony of it, he said, may be considered Hrazdan elections.
