Mashtots park to be protected by citizens instead of Yerevan City Hall.

The environmentalists holding an action at the park near Mashtots Avenue are joined by citizens protesting the decision on placing stands there to eliminate the green areas.

Mayor Taron Margaryan is unwavering and has already told the environmentalists' delegate, "Heritage" Party MP Anahit Bakhshyan that the stands that were demolished on Abovyan Street will be placed at the park near Mashtots Avenue.

The environmental activists are filled with indignation and declare that they will fight for the conservation of the green area and mention that the mayor's decision is illegitimate.

The action participants met representatives of the Ombudsman's Office who prevented the provocation and didn't let the participants protect themselves from the falling snow with an oilcloth.

We remind that the action participants had tied an oilcloth to protect themselves from the snow. They were approached by municipality employees who demanded that they remove the oilcloth and leave. The police officers at the area agreed with the municipality employees and told the activists that there was an "order from the elite" to disperse the demonstrators and prevent any operation
