Police chase away protesters in Mashtots park.

Police in Yerevan are forcibly removing environmental activists from Mashtots avenue where the group has been staging protests for seven days now against what they say installation of kiosks in green areas.
Last Saturday, some 30 activists formed a wall in the avenue demanding to stop the removal of the demolished kiosks from Abovyan Avenue to Mashtots Avenue. The environmentalists are protesting against the illegal construction and destruction of green space.
The construction has resumed. Police officers, who exceed the protesters, are elbowing and pushing the environmentalists, focing them off the area. They do not even pity the journalists working on the site and say they do it out of security measures.
The environmentalists are supported by Heritage MPs who are also banned from entering the green area without any explanation.
