Sasun Mikayelyan heads the society to fair elections (Video).

"Serzh Sargsyan is my companion in arms. It is a moment granted by God," says commander of Sasun detachment Sasun Mikayelyan. The former lawmaker cannot imagine how he will continue his way with his comrade-in-arms who acted against Mikayelyan during the mayoral elections in Hrazdan town.

Sasun Mikayelyan is not ashamed of their friendship and says it cannot be replaced by anything.

The U.S. Ambassador's positive assessment of the Hrazdan mayoral elections did not surprise Mr. Mikayelyan. "They have always praised elections in Armenia, therefore we have appeared in such a state."

Nor is Mikayelyan disappointed with the victory of his rival, Republican candidate Aram Danielyan.
"We have won in the vote and appointed Aram as Mayor of Hrazdan," he said.

Anyway, the opposition activist is convinced that things can be changed in Armenia though he does not see future in the country. Sasun Mikayelyan is not going to appeal the election results.

"Why should I dispute the results when the entire state is against me?" he said.

Remind that acting mayor of Hrazdan, Republican Aram Danielyan won the elections, getting 1,573 votes more than Sasun Mikayelyan. (Danielyan received 13,079 votes, and Mikayelyan - 11,506 votes).
