Microsoft to change Windows flag in preparation for new Metro design.
World
The typical, four-paned windows logo that just about anyone is familiar with, is reported to be changed by the time that Windows 8 will be made publicly available, Ria Novosti reports.
Instead of the typical red, green, blue, and yellow logo that is usually projected as a waving flag will supposedly be replaced by an angling, more flattened 2D, window-like logo which we also assume will be one colour only, much like some of the mockups that have been popping up all over the web.
This is but the first of a long line of changes that Microsoft is planning for their flagship Operating System, and more changes will be highlighted in upcoming advertising campaign, rumoured to be dubbed: “Windows Reimagined”.
Couple this with the already changed and replaced start button, and you know this is big. Whatever Microsoft is planning for their next major OS will be sure to knock just about any end-user out of their very own socks.
