A crowd of environmental activists has gathered in front of the Yerevan City Hall to continue its protest against the construction work in Mashtots Park.
"We want a green and clean Yerevan!" The call was heard for about two hours outside the Yerevan Municipality.
Around 200 people outside the building are calling for a meeting with Mayor Taron Margaryan.
They are holding up posters with the slogans “Free clean Yerevan”, “We are Yerevan”, “We are the master’s of our country”, “No business in Public Green area” etc.
The chief of municipality’s staff, Sergey Makaryan, went out to meet the protesting people and express his willingness to submit their letter to the mayor.
But the environmentalists kept urging for a meeting with Margaryan.
Popular Armenian poet, guitarist, singer, songwriter and lyricist Ruben Hakhverdyan participated in the action.
The group is already returning to Mashtots avenue.
