The formal change of generation in the parliament will do nothing - Menua Harutyunyan.

It is necessary to change the quality of MPs elected through majority system and not abolish this election system, member of the Republican Party of Armenia Menua Harutyunyan told news conference today.

The RPA has always been for the proportional system, but it is wrong to change the system few months before the elections. "A citizen must see who he/she elects. Today we have MPs elected through majority election system who do more in their territories than those elected through proportional system," Harutyunyan said.

Member of the "Heritage" party Armen Martirosyan said he is convinced in the necessity of passing to 100% proportional system.

Referring to the issue of change of generation in the parliament Menua Harutyunyan said the formal change of generation will do nothing. Armen Martirosyan added that the change of generation will bring new way of thinking and he is for it.
