Hunger strike at Mashtots Park.

Bayandur Poghosyan, 25, has declared an 8-day hunger strike at Mashtots Park. He is preparing to stay at the park for24 hours with the demand to put an end to the placement of trade stands.

Bayandur has informed the RA Police about his hunger strike. He will also inform the Red Cross and Yerevan Municipality.

"With this, I want to prove that the people holding an action here are not weak, but are determined," said Bayandur Poghosyan.

The young environmentalists made a call for mobilizing efforts and mentioned that there should be so many people at the park tomorrow that even the police and builders can't do their job. They were supported by singers Arsen Grigoryan and Artur Ispiryan who also performed for the environmentalists.

The placement of stands continues under police supervision.
