Armenian expert calls for revealing truth about Khojalu.
Political
Azerbaijan’s propaganda machinery is spreading disinformation on the events that occurred in Khojalu on Feb. 27, 1992, throughout the world and believe it to be their victory.
On the other hand, with a great number of facts at its disposal, the Armenia side does not reveal the truth to the world.
“We are lions in the battlefield, whereas we are peaceful and indifferent when at peace. Only after the ceasefire agreement was signed did we realize an economic, information warfare,” the political scientist Alexander Manasyan told journalists on Wednesday.
He pointed out the need for realizing the information warfare and for opposing Azerbaijani propaganda. “We must flood the Internet with documents. We should also use official and people’s diplomacy,” he said.
Manasyan proposes suing Azerbaijan for disinformation. “When the Nagorno-Karabakh forces informed Balku of civilians in that area and proposed evacuation, Azerbaijan rejected that proposal,” Manasyan said. At the last moment, when the Aghdam population tried to flee, Azeri helicopters opened fire at the civilians.
Manasyan referred to a Czech journalist, who, two days later saw that the victims’ faces had been disfigured.
