Yemen has new president.
World
Itar-Tass - Early presidential elections have ended in Yemen and were truly historic as they marked the departure of Ali Abdullah Saleh who had been the Head of State for 33 years.
The results of voting were predictable, as the only candidate running was the Vice-President, 66-year-old Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
He will be the head of Yemen for the next two years, during which the country must adopt a new constitution and define its future political development.
The election results will be announced within a few days.
Voting was marred by the terrorist attacks in the south, which killed nine people, including one child and because of attacks on polling stations in Aden, half of them were closed in the middle of the day.
