No tension between Armenia’s coalition forces - Galust Sahakyan.
Political
The statements on tension between the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) are “artificial”.
The coalition forces continue cooperating, RPA Vice-Chairman, Chairman of the RPA parliamentary group, Galust Sahakyan told journalists on Thursday.
The RPA has not yet discussed its list of candidates, but Mr Sahakyan is sure his name will appear on the list.
With respect to the intention of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) to “give battle” in all the constituencies, Sahakyan said, “We are not going into battle, but we are giving the people a chance to choose.” The RPA is also discussing the issue of nominating its candidates in constituencies to enhance the efficiency of its participation.
“We are just seeking to get more seats than we are having now,” he said.
The political situation is “active and stable” in Armenia. The media are reporting the top ten on the lists of candidates, discussing the issue of single-member constituencies. The discussions reach Armenia’s regions, which makes the situation active.
