Head of the faction of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Galust Sahakyan has witnessed how the deputies of other parliamentary parties vote for each other.
Offended by such allegations fired at his fellow partisans, Galust Sahakyan today told journalists that what pleased him was the fact that the NA Chairman didn't have powers to punish the deputies that vote for others.
"This is not a crime. It is a matter of the Criminal Code, not the Civil Code," said the notable figure of the ruling party of Armenia.
We remind that the Republicans have voted for each other during the vote "On the Legal Regime of the State of Emergency". The case was sent to the Special Investigative Service, but didn't proceed.
Journalists asked Galust Sahakyan where former NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan is and what he's doing.
"I am very pleased to see that there is a longing to see him. Hovik Abrahamyan is at the headquarters of the HHK day and night. That is our central headquarters," said Galust Sahakyan.
He denied the rumors according to which some HHK members are "old members" and some are Hovik Abrahamyan's supporters.
"I can't support either side. I can simply coordinate the party's activities and resolve conflicts," said the HHK Vice-Chairman.
When asked how the next parliament will be, Galust Sahakyan had trouble answering, but didn't rule out the formation of a coalition of forces with more votes.
Leader of the HHK faction Galust neither denied nor confirmed the news that scandalous businessman Silva Hambardzumyan wants to become a deputy on the list of the HHK in the upcoming elections.
