Georgia does not recognize Crimean referendum

GGeorgia’s Foreign Ministry has issued an official statement saying that it does not recognize the results of the referendum in Crimea.

It has expressed support to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The referendum in Ukraine’s autonomous region was held on March 16. The The official vote results suggest that over 95% of the population voted in favor of joining Russia.
