It is immoral to connect the soldier`s death with Eurovision - Empyray vocalist.
Science and culture
A group of well-known Armenian singers on Feb. 23 released a statement addressed to the European Broadcasting Union and the Armenian Public TV Company saying they decline from participating in the Eurovision Song Contest-2012 to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan. The cause of the statement became the murder of an Armenian soldier on Feb. 23 by Azerbaijani snipers near Chinari village of Tavush Region, Armenia. Albert Adibekyan, 20, died from a bullet wound to the head.
During the talk with LURER.com, Empyray vocalist Sargis Manukyan expressed its opinion on the statement, "I am not interested who will go and who not. I think it is a useless occupation. They occupy public attention with fool themes. It is immoral to connect the soldier`s death with Eurovision. Everything has come out of its measures. Let those representatives of Armenian show-business go and kill one-two Azerbaijani soldiers in response to the murdered soldier and not to boycott Eurovision."
