Armenian capital Yerevan’s Mayor, Taron Margaryan, on Saturday visited the Yerablur Military Pantheon, and paid his respects in connection with the 147th birth anniversary of General Andranik Ozanian, a prominent figure of the national liberation movement.

Marking the event, the Armenian Apostolic Church clergy performed, at the Pantheon, a requiem service for the souls of General Andranik and all devoted martyrs of the Armenian national liberation struggle.

At the Pantheon, Taron Margaryan also placed flowers to the tombs of Vazgen Sargsyan (Supreme Commander, and former PM and Defense Minister) and Ashot Navasardyan (founder of the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia), Yerevan City Hall Press Service informs.
