Catherine Ashton: The EU to be more actively engaged in NKR conflict settlement process.

The European Union is going to be more actively engaged in the process of settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton stated at the council sitting in Brussels.
"Nagorno Karabakh conflict is a very complicated issue needing solution. The EU is going to support Armenia and Azerbaijan in the settlement of the conflict," Ashton said.
She noted that extended discussion on the South Caucasian issues will be held in Brussels on February 27. Issues on regional security, situation in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia will be in focus.
The settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict as well as steps to be undertaken by the EU in that direction will also be discussed.
