Armenia-EU negotiations on visa regime facilitation launch.

The negotiations over the facilitation of entrance visa regime and readmission agreement between Armenia and the European Union launched on February 27. Deputy Foreign Minister Zohrap Mnatsakanyan told at a briefing followed after the talks that Armenia was looking forward for the talks.

"Before it we as well were actively cooperating with the EU. Armenian negotiating team is quite mobilized, we are working engaging different ministries. We have serious negotiation experience and it inspires us trust that the negotiations will pass effectively," the deputy minister said. As to the deadline of negotiations over agreements, Mnatsakanyan said it is not being spoken of years but of shorter period of time.

Head of the EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea confirmed the significance of the agreements. "It is another development in Armenian-EU relations," Hristea said.
