Armenia’s ex Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan has explained the reasons behind his decision to return to politics.

In a post on his Facebook profile, Oskanyan, now the president of Civilitas Foundation, said his plans have nothing to do with personal ambitions or business interests, and only a heartfelt attitude to the country’s present and future has caused him to join the parliamentary campaign this spring.

“I am sincerely concerned about Armenia’s present and future and I am sure that a true political competition can make the National Assembly the real platform that would promote changes in any field and in any person’s life,” he said.
