PAP not to take part in today`s protest in front of the National Assembly.

Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will not participate in today`s protest in front of Armenian National Assembly building at 14:00, which participants will demand pass from mixed electoral system to 100% proportional one. PAP MP Naira Zohrabyan informed about this to LURER.com correspondent.
To the question which was the reason not to participate in the protest, the MP said, "We did not discuss the issue of participating or not participating in the protest. I can ask you a question in response: why should we have participated?"
What about passing to 100% electoral system, according to her words, there are 2 points of view in the party.
"One part including me thinks that we should pass to the 100% proportional system as soon as possible, other part thinks that 60-70 days before the parliamentary elections it is not expedient to make changes in Election Code," mentioned PAP MP.
To note, today the parliamentary opposition`s presented draft of passing to 100% proportional electoral system will be discussed in the National Assembly.
