France President Nikolas Sarkozy instructed the country`s government to prepare new draft text over genocides in connection with the decision of the French Constitutional Council, which on Feb. 28 recognized the bill penalizing the denial of genocides unconstitutional.

Sarkozy stated that he 'took under note the decision' and 'appreciated the disappointment and deep pain of those who had responded to the adoption of this law with gratitude and hope'. Sarkozy 'instructed the government to submit a new draft text taking into consideration the Constitutional Council`s decision.'
