Algeria has refused to hand over relatives of the late Libyan strongman Muammar Gaddafi, an official Algerian source told the news portal Ash-Shuruk.
Last autumn, Muammar Gadhafi's wife Safia and three of his children, Aisha, Hannibal and Mohammed, as well as their families fled to Algeria amid rising unrest in the country and were received “on humanitarian grounds.”
Algerian officials said neither the International Criminal Court, nor the Interpol or Tripoli has officially requested the extradition of Gaddafi’s relatives.
