Osama bin Laden's successor arrested in Cairo.

Senior Al-Qaeda operative Saif al-Adel, who was reported to have briefly taken over the militant network's leadership after Osama bin Laden's death, was arrested at Cairo airport on Wednesday, ITAR-TASS News Agency reported citing U.S. special agencies.
Saif al-Adel is an Egyptian explosives expert and is believed to be a high-ranking member of the Al-Qaeda organization. Adel has been on the FBI's list of Most Wanted Terrorists since 2001. He is under indictment for his part in the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Africa. He has also been connected with the murder of Daniel Pearl.
Osama bin Laden, the founder of the militant Islamist organization Al-Qaeda, was shot and killed inside a private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, by U.S. Navy SEALs and CIA operatives in a covert operation ordered by United States President Barack Obama. Bin Laden was on the American FBI's lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings. From 2001 to 2011, bin Laden was a major target of the War on Terror, with a US$25 million bounty by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Al-Qaeda is a jihadist organization responsible for the September 11 attacks on the United States and numerous other mass-casualty attacks against civilian and military targets.
