Tigran Hakobyan`s measure of restraint was changed, he was released.

Former Head of Armenian Public Television Tigran Hakobyan has been released.

The RA Prosecutor General's Office has upheld the request of mass media leaders, and by studying the evidence that was obtained, the Deputy Head of the Department for the Fight against Corruption and Organized Crimes of the Prosecutor General's Office took the decision to release Tigran Hakobyan.

A signature to not leave the republic was selected as a measure of restraint.

The decision was taken by taking into account the fact that Tigran Hakobyan returned the 10 million drams during the preliminary inquiry and expressed willingness to return the remaining amount when released.

Hakobyan also has a permanent residence, is described as a positive person, unhealthy and needs medical assistance.

We remind that Hakobyan was charged with a case within the framework of which 184,224,000 drams had been confiscated.
