France closes its embassy in Damascus.

QNA - French President Nicolas Sarkozy has announced that his country decided to close it embassy in Damascus in condemnation of the repressive practiced by the regime against the Syrian people.
In a statement to reporters on the sidelines of the European Union Summit in Brussels Sarkozy said I have decided with the Foreign Minister Allan Juppe to close our embassy in Syria, adding that there is no possibility of intervention in Syria without a United Nations Security Council resolution.
Yesterday, British Foreign Secretary William Hague announced the withdrawal of all British diplomats in Damascus and the suspension of the British embassy services there.
