Restoring Georgia-Russia ties depends on Russia`s recognition of South Ossetia, Abkhazia.

Interfax - Georgia will negotiate the restoration of diplomatic relations with Russia only on condition of "de-occupation" of Georgian territories, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said, apparently implying Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which Russia recognized as independent states in 2008.
"Dialogue between the two countries can take place only on condition of mutual respect and each other's recognition within the framework of internationally recognized borders. In this case, we are prepared to start negotiations with the Russian Federation on restoring diplomatic relations," Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a news conference on Saturday.
"If we see that Russia starts withdrawing its troops from the occupied territories and retracts its decision to recognize independence of Georgian territories, we are prepared for negotiations," Kalandadze said.
