The Rule of Law Party is represented in the parliament for already fifteen years and has always actively participated in the parliamentary elections, leader of the party Arthur Baghdasaryan stated at the tenth congress of the party March 3.
He said the party is actively engaged in the reforms ongoing in the country. "I understand the people who do not believe in politics. The Rule of Law Party was very often not understood: we want to be more understandable," the leader of the party said. He noted that on one hand it is necessary to "attack" the unemployment, on the other work out and implement employment and social insurance program. "The number one problem in our country is unemployment. Already 150 thousand people have become members of the Rule of Law Party. It means so many people trust us. We are going to support President Serzh Sargsyan in his reforms," the leader of the party said.
Referring to the coming parliamentary elections Baghdasaryan said they will be a trial for Armenia. "We must approach the upcoming elections with great sense of responsibility. We want to have strong Armenia, lawful Armenia," Baghdasaryan stressed.
During the congress the RLP leader stated that the party would run in the elections with "Trust so that we can build Armenia of law" slogan.
Arthur Baghdasaryan was reelected Chairman of RLP. Baghdasaryan was nominated by RLP Parliamentary Faction leader Heghine Bisharyan.
Prior to raising of the mandates, Arthur Baghdasaryan asked whether anyone else wished to be nominated. “Our party is democratic; anyone can be nominated,” he said, but no other delegate was nominated and Baghdasaryan was unanimously reelected RLP Chairman.
