Off-parliament opposition member Khachatur Sukiasyan to run for MP in Kentron district.

Businessman and a former National Assembly member, Khachatur Sukiasyan, has officially confirmed his intention to run for parliament in May.

According to Sukiasyan’s press service, the businessman-politician will be nominated as a majority constituency candidate in N.10 precinct of Kentron district.

Recent media reports also say that the president of Nushikyan Association, Garegin Nushikyan, will be Sukiasyan’s contender in the same constituency.

Sukiasyan was elected an MP in 2007. He lost his MP seat in 2009 charged with instigating mass disorders.
