The whole society is responsible for the effective elections - MP Hakob Hakobyan.

Not only Central Electoral Commission and the authorities but also the whole society is responsible for the effective elections, ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Hakob Hakobyan told the journalists on Tuesday.

According to him, transparency of the elections depends on how the citizens and the parties approach it.

“Authorities are not responsible for throwing a ballot in the ballot box. Citizens are making their choice,” Hakobyan believes. “Political parties carry responsibility for the elections as much as they form the public agenda and electoral commissions during the elections.”
