Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with European People’s Party President Wilfried Martens.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is on working visit in Belgium, met with European People’s Party (EPP) President Wilfried Martens on Tuesday.

Sargsyan believes meetings with Martens are a solid basis to exchange thoughts and ideas on strengthening relations between the parties, as well as to discuss progress of bringing closer the Armenia-EU policy and global issues and challenges Armenia is faced with, presidential press service informs.

Sargsyan also said that Armenian political parties’ joining the EPP will serve for the full integration into the European political field.

The Armenian President also touched upon Armenia-EU dialogue, successful cooperation with the European structures, the reforms implemented in Armenia, regional issues and challenges, as well as the upcoming parliamentary elections.
