Karabakh Defense Army throws new attempt of sabotage by Azerbaijan back

The rival initiated another sabotage and reconnaissance act in the North-Eastern direction (Martakert) of the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies in the night of August 1-2. The front units of the Defense Army detected the advancement of the rival’s Special Forces in time and the rival was thrown back to the primary positions suffering human and material losses. The Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic informed “Armenpress” that according to the data of the Defense Army’s relevant services, the Azerbaijani side suffered at least 3 casualties and 7 injured and left special weaponry and other technical means on the site of combat.

Unfortunately, the Armenian side has also recorded a loss. Serviceman Zorik Zh. Gevorgyan (born in 1989) lost his life bravely defending the motherland. It’s worth mentioning that the rival attacked the northern, north-eastern, and eastern directions of the line of contact during the last night. In all cases the front units of the Defense Army gave a serious response and the rival was thrown back to the primary positions. The Karabakh side recorded no losses.
