Serzh Sargsyan was not faithful to his 2008 pre-election promise over Karabakh issue - Vladimir Karpetyan.

At the 13th RPA Congress held today, RA President Serzh Sargsyan regarding to NKR issue mentioned that the NKR side should become fully negotiating part. In this connection LURER.com had a talk with the ANC Foreign Affairs Committee representative Vladimir Karpetyan and asked to comment on President Sargsyan`s words.

"I have reservation on Serzh Sargsyan`s project provisions. This time what he said differs from his announcement of 2008 presidential elections`project provisions. Particularly, that time he said that as a settlement principle of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue,  Armenia and Karabakh should have common borders. However, in none of his words or actions we saw his faithfulness to his pre-election promise. Taking into consideration the fact that both the Republican party and the president ignored their 2008 pre-election provision and no one remembers about that any more, I have reservation also connected with this provision. Mainly under the light, that the European Union in its adopted document on Feb. 27, adverted Madrid document as a main negotiating document and in the Madrid document NKR signature is not planned. In this case how can be provided the factor of NKR`s being fully negotiating part? Questions rise which should be answered by the authorities," Karapetyan said.
