Messages addressed to the citizens of Armenia were numerous and various at the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) recent congress, RPA MP Hovhannes Sahakyan told the journalists on Tuesday.
As for the new slogan of the RPA ‘Let’s believe and change,’ the MP said they will achieve changes not through discrediting others or gaining dividends.
The other participant of the conference parliament opposition Heritage group MP Larisa Alaverdyan believed said chairman Serzh Sargsyan’s speech was addressed only to the RPA members and not to the entire nation.
In response, Sahakyan said that it could not have been otherwise, as it was the RPA’s congress. Yet, Alaverdyan compared the congress with a meeting of communist party. Meanwhile, the speech was typical of totalitarian regime.
