Armenian singers speaking about Shushan Petrosyan`s candidacy as deputy.

Today news were circulating in Armenian media that several singers would become RPA members or without joining the party would be included in the transitory places of the party`s pre-election list. It was said that first of them would become singer Shushan Petrosyan.
The latter confirmed this news during an interview with a news agency, informing that she was going to present the appropriate documents to the party on March 13.
LURER.com tried to find our what the other singers thought over Shushan Petrosyan`s wish to become an MP.
Singer Hasmik Karapetyan mentioned during the talk with us that Shushan Petrosyan is one of those unique people in Armenian show-business with whom she is very close, then added, "In general, in my opinion, the singer, the artist should not be involved in politics, but there is a big difference here. There are singers who are individuals and belong to the kind of revolutionary people. Shushan belongs to this kind, who being in art, also is oriented in other fields. She is one of those comprehensively developed people, who can achieve something in other fields."
Speaking about the concerts during the election campaigns, singer Hasmik Karapetyan said that nothing was yet decided and mentioned that she always took part in pre-election concerts, because there was no reason not to participate.
"I was never engaged in propaganda, I just sang for the people. And why shouldn`t I sing if this is my job?," she said.
To the question if there was a difference in which party campaign she would sing for people, the singer said, "I decide whether to participate this or that concert withing the frames of the proposal. I can`t say anything concretely now."
Singer Sofi Mkheyan mentioned during the talk with us that she was not aware of Shushan Petrosyan`s such kind of decision and added that even if the information coincides with the truth this is only Shushan`s decision.
"If she decided to enter the politics, this is her decision. She has made her decision, I am not the person to speak about this," said the singer.
During the interview Sofi mentioned that she also saw herself in the politics and added that she needed only to realize whether she really wanted to enter the political field.
To the question whether she would appear in politics, the singer found difficult to answer, "Politics is such a thing that you do not know whether you are ready to enter in it or not. Human perceptions may not coincide with the reality. So, I clearly can not say anything."
Speaking about singing in concerts during the election campaigns, the singer said the she considered this normal. She did not exclude that she would also participate in concerts.
