ANC proportional list is ready - party member Hrant Bagratyan.

The proportional list of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) will not include only those who have ambitions to become an MP, ANC member Hrant Bagratyan said.

“Top place in the list is not important for me. Being elected to the parliament we will be able to hold heated economic debates with the authorities which is not done by the present parliamentary opposition,” he added.

“There are definitely certain people who demand top places in the list, it is their right,” he concluded.

The difficulties the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) encountered in drafting its list of candidates showed that, but for Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the ANC would not even exist now.

At his Wednesday meeting with journalists, Hrant Bagratyan said that the ANC has prepared its list. The ANC leader has “put it in order.”

“Our party agreed to any form. We should not interfere in this process. This discussion showed that, but for Ter-Petrosyan, the ANC does not actually exist,” he said.

Bagratyan noted he is likely to be among the first ten candidates on the ANC list.
